Volume III covers Theses 8, 9 and 10, dealing with the incarnation, and Jesus as Gods personal revelation, Jesus as the Lord, the Word or spoken revelation of God, and revelation as rational-verbal communication. As Gods personal revelation, Jesus held a high view of Scripture, Gods written revelation. He considered Scripture inspired and authoritative, at the same time claiming for himself an authority equal to the Old Testament. He is the mediator between God and man because of his life, death and resurrection. As the risen Lord, he is the center of the good news of the gospel that is, Gods divine plan for restoring men to fellowship with him, bringing them into his kingdom and using them to work for him in the world.
