As a group these young people seem to be out of gear with the rest of society. They have become a problem. By some, they are listed as the Number One problem; indeed to many people, adolescence is almost synonymous with deliquency. Few adults seem to feel comfortable or competent where these youngsters are concerned. Many parents look forward to the age with grim foreboding, bracing themselves for the shock, expecting the worst.
