The ultimate goal of the life of the Batak Sisters of Charity is God. They strive not to do their own will but the will of the One who calls them, so that they and those who benefit from the ministry may be saved. This spirituality is lived as a process in confrontation with the social and human conditions of the people they serve. The desire to live out their calling makes the Sisters ask themselves: if we are truly accepting that the core of our life is the call to love God as a gift from God, then how can we manifest concretely our love for Him here and now? The actualization of spirituality is a dialectical process. Religious life as a human form is invented and chosen by humans, but essentially it is beyond what the human person can imagine and organize.
