I gladly do so if for no other reason than to encourage all who read these lines to take up this work which has already been read by hundreds of Spnish-speaking people in their desire to know more about the spirituality of Saint Vincent de Paul. Of set purpose I use the phrase the spirituality of Saint Vincent de Paul, for however valuabe in themselves articles and monographs on the life and times of Saint Vincent may be they achieve little if they do not help their readers to a deeper knowledge and appreciation of the treasures of spirituality that Saint Vincent has given to the Church.
