Communicating between cultures means the sharing and mutual understanding of different cultural backgrounds, preconditions and conditions of people linked or to be linked or to be linked together in the spirit of Christian solidarity, responsibility and liberation. Communicating between cultures in this sense means moving from ethnocentrism to mutual respect, sharing and catholicity for a common good. This introduction is more an outline than a detailed description of and for intercultural communication. The book should help to introduce students and anybody interested into the field of intercultural communication.
