Mark: Proclamation Commentaries
This book concentrates on the distinctive elements, problems, and opportunities for preaching to be found in Mark's Gospel. The Gospels treated in the volume of Proclamation for Series B, jointly adopted by many church bodies, are based on Mark. This series presents the insights of New Testament scholarship as directly applied to the preacher's responsibility for procalamation today. Written for practicing clergy, these books will parallel the lectionaries for the Church Year but will treat sections of the New Testament as whole entities and will not concentrate exclusively on individual, appointed lessons.
