This book is a theological-psychological study that reads the Gospel of Mark through the lens of Carl Gustav Jung's analytical psychology. The author interprets the story of Jesus not only as a religious narrative, but also as a symbol of the human inner journey toward wholeness (individuation). Broadly speaking, this book views the Gospel of Mark as a 'journeying self', where each event in Jesus' life reflects the stages of human psychological development. These stages include calling, conflict, facing the 'shadow', the relationship with the feminine side (anima), and suffering and transformation. The author emphasizes that the journey of faith is not simply following external teachings, but an internal process involving self-awareness, inner struggle, and the integration of various aspects of personality. Conflicts in the Gospels, such as the conflict with authority, the disciples' fear, and the suffering in the Passion narrative, are understood as symbols of the psychological conflicts that each individual must face in their growth. Furthermore, the characters in the Gospels (Jesus, the disciples, and His adversaries) are interpreted as representations of aspects of the human self. Jesus' journey to the cross and resurrection is seen as a symbol of profound transformation, from fragmentation to integration, from unconsciousness to full awareness. Therefore, readers are invited to view the Gospel of Mark as a mirror of the inner life of humanity, understanding faith as both a psychological and spiritual process, and recognizing that the journey to spiritual maturity is a long journey toward wholeness.
