Saint Bede the Venerable
Saint Bede (c. 673–735 AD), better known as Bede the Venerable, was a Benedictine monk from Northumbria, England, recognized as the most prominent scholar, historian, and theologian of the early Middle Ages. He is often called the 'Father of English History' for his significant contributions to the early history of the British Isles.
