What is the Incarnation?
The Incarnation is the central Christian doctrine that the eternal Son of God (the second person of the Trinity) took on human flesh and nature, becoming a human being in the person of Jesus of Nazareth, without ceasing to be fully divine. Jesus Christ is not merely the founder of the Christian religion: he is the focal point of everything comprised within it. Without him nothing would remain. This book is concerned not with the life of Christ, but with Christ himself as he is known to the Church's dogma and theology.
