The Incarnation is the central Christian doctrine that the eternal Son of God (the second person of the Trinity) took on human flesh and nature, becoming a human being in the person of Jesus of Nazareth, without ceasing to be fully divine. Jesus Christ is not merely the founder of the Christian religion: he is the focal point of everything comprised within it. Without him nothing would remain.
