This is an anthology of Catholic life and thought, not a handbook of instruction. Its humble purpose is to reproduce something of the atmosphere of the Catholic Church and to hint at the diverse riches of her treasures. Catholic readers will find much that is familiar and much that is new ideas which, the compilers hope, may both recall and reveal some of things which Christendom holds dear.
