Christology After Auschwitz
Christian theologians to consider the divinity or messiah ship of Jesus Christ without taking modern day Judaism into account. In the decades after Auschwitz they are compelled to weigh anew the Hebrew covenant, the Jewish 'rejection' of Jesus, and Christian attitudes toward evangelizing the Jews. This book attempts to weigh the drift of Christian attitudes by examining official statements released during and since the time of Vatican Council II. It shrewdly gauges their shifts in emphasis and makes some predictions about the future direction of Christian thought.
