The Church in the World
For a period of a little over three years, prelates from around the world convened in Rome to discuss and study, in a wide-sweeping self-examination, the Catholic Church. But the effects of that meeting are not confined to the inner life of the Church itself, nor to the hands of the selected religious participating in the Vatican Council II. The results of those sessions must be placed in the hands, or more accurately, the thoughts, of the people of the world a task almost as wide-sweeping as the Council itself.
