The Silent Spire Speaks
This is one dealing with the monestary and being a monk. A college student visiting Gethsemani voices doubts about the value of monastic life, which starts this book-length dialogue. Fr. Raymond points out that the contemplative dedicates himself solely to man's most important work, giving glory to God, and is one of the few moderns to have the leisure necessary to truly understand the world. Rather than 'escaping' from the world, the contemplative retires from the world so that he can see it in its true perspective.
