This autobiography, put together by a group of Father Perrin's friends after his death in 1954 in a motor cycle accident, consists of his letters, notes from his journal, and statements which grew up out of the various struggles in which he was involved. The translator has contributed an excellent introduction providing an historical perspective in which to understand the priest worker development and suggesting that the self critical mood encourages by the Second Vatican Council has reawakened interest in some of the lessons suggested by Father Perrin's story.
