This book is intended to draw the attention of priests and teachers to a new field of human knowledge: depth psychology. However, its purpose is not to demonstrate the importance of modern psychology for spiritual counselors by providing assistance in the care of the spiritually ill, that is, by addressing the need for specialists in this branch of soul healing. Rather, its purpose is to demonstrate through examples how new knowledge about the soul can be used fruitfully to promote spiritual health and prepare the way for religious life.
