The Path of Prayer: An Anthology
This book emphasizes the great need for prayer, and that prayer, to be effective, must at least involve leaving our problems behind and seeking only God. Everything leads away from ourselves, away from sin, away from despair and hardship, to God, the source of all goodness, who is not far from anyone, for 'in Him we live, move, and have our being.' Therefore, accepting Him, allowing Him to enter and reign within us, is the only path to liberation from all evil. Living under God's guidance and power is the only satisfying way to live, and the consequence is that all the evil we suffer is the result of our 'separation from divine harmony.'
