Pius X: The Life-Story of the Beatus
Synopsis Pius X is about the life of a humble shepherd who became Pope, known for his motto ‘Restoring all things in Christ’. He reformed the Catholic Church by introducing the universal catechism, revising the Code of Canon Law, reforming seminary formation, and revitalizing the liturgy. Pius X also lowered the age for first communion to seven, encouraged more frequent Eucharists, and opposed modernism. He was deeply troubled by the rising tensions in the world leading up to World War I, which may have contributed to his death. He was the first pope to be canonized since 1572.
