A recent international congress at Stresa brought together the representatives of seventeen nations for a week's study of the various facets of his contribution to European thought. Rosmini's greatness was recognised throughout Italy while he was yet alive, and there can be no stronger proof of this than the generous testimony of that other great Italian, his philosophic rival, Gioberti.
