The Scroll of Qumran have given a new dimension to New Testament studies, but for a long time there has been a serious need for a full critical evaluation of the importance of the Scrolls for the Johannine writings. A Number of scholars have therefore collaborated to produce the present collection of studies. John and Qumran is the first full-length treatment of the relation between John and Qumran by an international team of scholars. The usefulness of the study is enhanced by full indexes and a select bibliography.
