In the English Church we seem to oscillate in this matter between two extremes. Sometimes we take with indiscriminate eagerness whatever comes from roman sources and endeavour to the disparagement and dislocation of that great treasure of truth and holy practice which God has brought to fruitful life among ourselves. It is easily possible to press too far the criticism here implied.
