Seeds of Liberation: Spiritual Dimensions to Political Struggle
The material contained in this book grew largely out of an extraordinary four day gathering held in Huddersfield at the beginning of January 1973. The event was sponsored by the Student Christian Movement in response to a widespread feeling among radical Christians that a re-examination of our faith, in the context of our more usually articulated political radicalism, was long overdue. The response to the event was an unusual one in that it was not primarily an intellectual response; the re-examination required was not so much a cerebral critique of theology or politics but a flesh and blood discovery of spiritual roots.
