The present bibliography is intended primarily as an aid to the students of my course, The Holy Spirit in the Scriptures and Contemporary Spirituality. The course aims to draw from the various Scriptural passages on the holy Spirit inspiration and direction for contemporary Christian life. During the two millenia of her history the Church has reflected upon what the Scriptures say about the Holy Spirit. For this reason the bibliography includes the works not only of modern exegetes but also of at least some of the major witnesses of Christian Tradition as well as the more representative modern theologians and spiritual writers.
