This volume contains the private spiritual notes and some extracts from the letters of a monk of the Abbey of Maredsous, Dom Pius de Hemptinne, who did on January 27th 1907, aged twenty-seven years. The humble life of this young religious was marked by no brilliant action, nor by any mystical phenomena calculated to attract attention from the crowd.
