The Dead Sea Scrolls in English, is a collection of ancient manuscripts discovered in caves near Qumran, on the northwestern shore of the Dead Sea, between 1947 and 1956. These manuscripts, written mostly in Hebrew and Aramaic, provide important insights into the history, religion, and culture of the Jewish people during the Second Temple period (516 BCE – 70 CE).
