This little book has been written to satisfy an increasing demand for information about Father Gentili. It makes no claim to be a 'Life' in the strict sense of the word; neither does it pretend to analyse the characteristics of his holiness. Father Aloysius Gentili (1801-1848) was a prominent Italian priest and missionary, known for his work in England and Ireland, particularly in Dublin. He was a member of the Rosminian order and dedicated his life to spreading the Catholic faith and helping the poor.
