The chief aim of this book is fully liturgical and religious. It shows how a sense of the liturgy may be imparted so that study group members can participate in it fully and get to know Christ, the High Priest, and not just the wording of the Vatican Council text on The Liturgy. A background of history and theology will help readers formulate their thoughts on the text. An appreciation of the situation prior to the Council is necessary to a better understanding of what the bishops have accomplished.
