The Word Dwells Among Us: A Foreword to the Biblical Books
The Word Dwells Among Us is a study of the theology of the Garden of Eden and the temple as expressions of God’s desire to dwell with humanity. It examines how this theme develops in the Bible and how it relates to the mission of the church. It also relates God’s desire to dwell with humanity to the church’s mission to carve out God’s kingdom in the world, to the church as God’s 'temple' on earth, and to the 'first fruits' of the new creation. In short, it encourages the church to understand its mission as an expression of God’s desire to dwell with humanity, and to follow His call to expand His kingdom on earth.
