Saint Hugh of Lincoln: A Biography



Saint Hugh of Lincoln, born around 1140 in Burgundy, France, became a Carthusian monk and later the Bishop of Lincoln in England. He was known for his strong faith, holiness, and charitable acts, particularly his concern for the poor and the Jewish community. Hugh of Lincoln was canonized a saint in 1220, and his life and character were celebrated by numerous writers and historians.
