The Translators' Translation has been prepared for the use of Bible Society translators by committees of university scholars and experienced missionaries. The English translation has been kept as close as possible to the original, in order that translators with a perhaps limited knowledge of the Greek may be given the fundamental meaning in a form which they can then adapt in the idiom of their own language.
