Spirit of the World: The Moral Basis of Christian Spirituality
Christian Spirituality is often presented in very monastic terms, or, at most, as primarily concerned with private life and religious devotions. This, however, is an impoverishment of the rich tradition of christian spirituality. In an age of crisis and uncertainty it is crucial for christians to recapture the richness of their own heritage. This work explores the medieval spiritual classics of the thirteenth to the sixteenth century in order to regain their integral vision of what it means to draw closer to God in the context of everyday life.
