One hundred years ago, in April, 1873. Father Constantine Scollen O.M.I. came to what is now the Diocese of Calgary, and from his first Mission twenty-five miles up the Elbow River set out to evangelize the Indians on the plains, and to minister to whatever Catholics there were among thee prospectors and adventurers in an almost empty land.
