The book is divided into three parts. The first part outlines what Buddhists believe about the Buddha and the things he taught concerning suffering and happiness, action and result, rebirth, and so on. The second part describes the way of monks, and the importance of morality for both monks and the laity are discussed, and there is interesting information on the techniques and results of meditation. The third part is about the goals of Buddhism, namely the Transcendental Wisdom and Nirvana, which practising Buddhists seek to realize. In this new edition there is also an appendix on the principal Siamese Buddhist festivals.
