Evelyn Underhill: Fount Christian Thinkers
Evelyn Underhill (1875-1941) discovered as a young woman the beauty of ancient mystical texts, which led her towards a growing appreciation of Christian mysticism. She wrote scores of highly influential books which brought these writings to a wide audience, and after becoming a Christian herself was a leading teacher of contemplative prayer.
