Marked by a masterly theological command of sources and order, the book falls logically into two parts, 'The Holy Spirit and Christ, the One Priest' and 'The Holy Spirit and the Priest of Christ'. In six chapters the author shows the progressive revelation of the Holy Spirit, the consecration of the Holy Spirit, the consecration of the Spirit of the Incarnate Word, the anointing of Christ by the Spirit for his prophetic and priestly mission, the work of the Spirit in the priesthood of power of the Risen Christ, and the sending by Christ of the Spirit to the nascent Church.
