There are many ways of reading the Bible. We might start at the beginning and read straight on through. We might pick it up and read it at random. A third way is to follow a sort of basic reading plan. For in order to get the full impact of what God is saying to us, to find in the Bible that meeting-ground with Christ, it is necessary to have some understanding to the great sweep of events and ideas.
