A modern thinker described Judaism as 'the unknown sanctuary'. Indeed, few Jews today are fully aware of the totality of their heritage, of what it means to belong to the people whose whose task on earth is the search for God and, by force of example, the spreading of faith. Even fewer people outside the Jewish fold realize the meaning and essence of Judaism. To them all this book seeks to offer an introduction and an explanation.
