The Twelve: Disciples and Apostles
The Twelve is an exercise in redaction criticism. From detailed analysis of the components of the synoptic tradition, scholars have turned to an investigation of the structure of our present gospels and found that each of them is the working out of an individual theological conception. This study of a parallel theme in three gospels serves too as an introduction to critical method for students of the New Testament.
