Retreat Instructions are compiled from a collection of notes made on Mother Catherine's conferences between 1832 and 1835. They expose an all-embracing charity aglow with her devotion to Christ. A holy compulsion seems to animate her earnest teaching, for here, too, 'the charity of Christ presses'.
