The Church and the Bible
The result of modern biblical criticism have been to cast doubt in many minds on the traditional doctrine of the inspiration of the bible. The author of this book advocates a whole hearted acceptance of critical method, and seeks to show that Biblical inspiration is not thereby impugned. Emphasizing that the message of the Old and the New Testaments is Christ, he shows the palace of the Bible an the life the Church and of her members, and suggest that Biblical study may pave the way towards the healing of divisions between those who believe in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
