In these first ten months of his Pontificate, Paul VI has proven in fact, after proclaiming it in words, that in all sectors he is ready to walk in the path traced out by his predecessor John XXIII. The Council and the ecumenical Movement are no less close to his heart than they were to that of Pope John.
