Sources of Protestant Theology

This sourcebook is designed as an introduction to Protestantism from its beginnings in the sixteenth century to its expressions in the twentieth century. The book is divided into five sections, one for each of the five centuries from the sixteenth to the twentieth. Each section is preceded by a general discussion of the major themes of religious thought in that century as well as an explanation of the ways in which the chosen selections deal with those themes. There follow ten extended selections drawn from either significant Protestant thinkers or authoritative credal statements of that century.
