To pose the problem of the signs of revelation and salvation in Jesus Christ is equivalent to posing a problem of interpretation, to posing indeed the first and most important problem of Christian hermeneutics, that of the very meaning of Christianity. This present book, as will be apparent, touches on the classical problem in fundamental theology, the problem of the signs of revelation, but from the point of view of an inquiry into the meaning of Christianity and the meaning of what the Christian says.
