Secrets of the Boardroom: The Credit Union Director in the Eighties
In the days when the Credit Union movement began to take off in Australia I believed that all Credit Union Directors were saint. I talked to groups of interested people four nights a week, sometimes five, squeezed in a couple of lunch hour meetings every week, and wrote streams of letters to any person even remotely interested in forming a Credit Union. A most important task of that time was to find volunteer Directors from among the groups and to encourage them to attend meetings of other groups to spread the Credit Union movement a little further.
