By the courtesy of the Editor, I am allowed to republish them in book form. The motive which prompted their composition, and now induces me to republish them, was simply the conviction that certain principles of faith are more easily set forth in the light of concrete illustrations are most conveniently sought in the facts and incidents of the religious world of our time. That must stand as an apology for turning the attention of the reader back to some of the happenings of the last decade, which, however belated as facts, may still do duty as object lessons of the principles in loved.
