  <title>Studies in Philosophical Theology</title>
 </relatedItem>
</mods>
<note>In contrast to the idea that science and philosophy find the solutions to the problems of the modern world, this study proposes a model where philosophy and science become meaningful as they lend themselves to the recovery of meaning and truth in the various modes of human existence and cultural reality. To exemplify the point the study focuses on culture and religion in general, and on dialogue between human beings and religious traditions in particular. The first chapter discusses the contribution of religious studies promotion of interreligious dialogues. The following chapters attempt to clarify essential features of religion within the context of cultural reality, and to understand the significance of religion for central issues of humanity. The final chapter consists of an analysis of dialogical relations and a critical evaluation of intercultural and religious dialogues. In each to these chapters the study tries to show (a) how meaning and truth are an issue in the formation and the actually of religious traditions; (b) how meaning and truth originate in dialogical encounters; and (c) how meaning and truth are essential to the idea of philosophical and scientific inquiries as well as to the integration of these inquiries in the practice of human existence.</note>
