Yet, until recently, there was little conscious reflection on the churches lifeline communication. What thinking had been done was primarily oriented to applying communication techniques to the propagation of the faith. Communication and Theology leads towards a study of these communication questions from the perspective of theology, and toward a new approach to theology from the background of communication. It contains the first systematic review of the literature on communication and theology, providing the groundwork for further research.
