Environmental education activities support language learning. Therefore, we advocate that environment should and can be one key theme in language instruction and that instructional methods actively engage students in meaningful and purposeful use of language about the environment and for its protection. One effective means of integrating instruction is the use of theme and content-based instruction. Through this content-based approach, teachers offers students many opportunities to communicate in the target language and provide content for language instruction.
