It examines and weights what contemporary thinkers such as Rahner, Kasper, Dulles, Baum and Schillebeeckx have been saying about dogma and its role in the modern religious world. Dogma, historically, is the antithesis of heresy. What dogma affirms, heresy denies. And yet we have come to see that not all religious positions can be summed up under those two headings. Believer today are able to appreciate the nature of the dynamics of pluralism.
