Family Worship: In Theory and Practice
The main theme of this book is that family worship is not an optional extra, but a vital expression of the church's life. However, the author argues that we have often got family worship wrong, and that what goes under the name is at best a confusion of worship and education, and at worst not even worship at all. The first half of the book discusses the place and function of family worship; the second half sets out some of the practical considerations for those responsible for its planning and conduct. This book will be of interest not only to preachers, but also to all who share a concern for the form and quality of their church's worship.
