Rahner returns once again to The Church. The subject continues to develop dynamically and Rahner deals with it under the headings of Faith and the Church, Priesthood and Life in the Church. The first includes the connection with Natural Science, the Church Historical Provenance and the idea of Fallen Nature. The second turns to the consecration of the priesthood, to pastoral ministries and leadership, and its spirituality. The third section deals with particular facts of Church Life, including basic communities, while the last quarter of this volume has articles on Sin and Purgatory, Mary and the Christian Image of Woman, and Angels. The writing as ever is always entirely honest and of great intellectual depth.
